I'm beginning to think it's time to change the content of my posts here. I'm going to go back to a more "stream of conscious" type of thing.

When I started this blog (how many years ago?), I was in the midst of some heavy travel which made for lots of good material, as well as photos. But as this blog ages, I've done and over done and over done again, all my travel stories. Not much changes, and I'm tired of describing every cheap motel room I've been staying in lately.

So I'm going to try to get back to the little silly posts....instead of trying write novels! Don't worry....there will be the occasional longggg post and/or photo (if I could ever figure out how to get the pictures off my d***ed phone!) Just stay tuned, there is more to come....including something for all you zit fetish fans out there.....

Woo Hoo!! No?

Well hello from Las Vegas! I had hoped to put up some pictures, but I can't figure out how to get the photos out of my phone and on to my laptop. Oy. But stay tuned, I'll hopefully have some up by the weekend.

So we're here in Vegas for the ShoWest convention. Which basically means that I get to sleep late and gamble while Alan works the trade show. (Actually, I'm not much of a gambler.....I've been here two days and have yet to drop a quarter! But I'm all over that sleeping late thing. It's almost 3:30pm and I'm still not dressed yet!)

The highlight of the trip so far has been eating at The Mesa Grill, Bobby Flay's restaurant. This place was highly recommended to us by my favorite food Guru and his family. Let me just say that if they recommend a restaurant.....go there! The place was fabulous!!! Bobby Flay, himself, was actually there too. How cool is that?!

As a testament to how good this place is, I had a coffee~spice~rubbed~rotisserie~filet~mignon that was to die for. I ordered it medium well (because that's how I like it) much to the chagrin of my own personal foodophile, Alan. He always swears that beef should be served rare to preserve the tenderness, and that cooking it to medium well is sacrilege. Well, I showed him! He agreed that even though the steak was way over cooked to his liking.....it was still tender and to die for!

Anyway, I guess I should get the day rolling. Maybe take a bath and get dressed, eh? And is it martini hour yet?? Stay tuned people.....I hope to post a bit more while I'm here. Really!
