2005-03-24 - 9:57 p.m. It was an odd meeting. She told me that she definitely thought I was depressed, and she thought antidepressants would be "very very helpful", exactly what I need....but she couldn't prescribe them. She would refer me to some other department, and maybe in 3 to 4 weeks I could get an appointment to take some kind of class....then maybe after that, I could get an appointment with someone who "might" be able to prescribe something. Then she said we should speak again next week and see how I've improved. Huh? Improved? She didn't do anything. Nothing happend. She just told me I was depressed and said "it was so nice to talk to you!" Does she think I will improve just because I "might" be able to get an appointment in about a *month* with somebody who "might" be able to do something??! Anyway, when I got home I called my insurance provider, who agreed that I had basically got the run around, and now I have a new number to call tomorrow. They assure me that this is a much more direct route to getting the help I need....so we shall see. Eeek! comments??? (0 so far...) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
