I absolutely have to give a mention to this site: Reflectoporn. It's like a cross between The Mirror Project and accidental soft core porn. In their own words:

"The name reflectoporn was given to pictures who were discovered on e-bay, where you can see naked people in the reflection of any material that shines. Like televisions, kettles, mirrors, etc."

You gotta check out this site, it's really quite interesting. (And be on the look out for me....I'll be submitting a photo in the next few days!)

Hey, I want to thank you guys so much for voting for my art over at Projekt30! Now keep your fingers crossed that I actually make it into the show. They only get to pick 30 artists for the final show, so it's going to be tough......I'm on the edge of my seat, hoping I make it!

(*And if you haven't voted yet, click on over there now!! Voting is open for another week or so, I think.*)

In other news, today I got a new teeny tiny little camera, so stay tuned for some test pictures, reviews, and other ramblings about the new toy. I'm sort of on the road again, so posting may become sporadic, but maybe I'll get some interesting pics!

Alright, now I need you guys to help me out here. I've entered my art in an online, publicly juried art exhibition (which, in plain English, means that you guys get to vote on which artists you want to see in the December show).....and I need you to click on over there right now and vote for me me me!!! When you click on the link that says, "jury the exhibition" they give you a short explanation of how it works, then you'll need to click through the various artists to find me (they do it this way, to make it harder to stack the votes.) So look for the picture above, and/or look for my name M. Briquette.....and vote vote vote! I'll love you forever if you give me a 5 vote!!!

And as if that isn't exciting enough, it looks like I'm going to be on TV again December 3 and 4!! I'll keep you posted as it draws near, but keep an eye on your local listings because I've noticed that TechTv tends to flip flop it's schedule around a lot.

Ok, so now what are you waiting for?? Go vote vote vote!!!

Well it was a relatively mild weekend with the parents. We only went to one tourist attraction, but we did manage to go to 4 restaurants in 3 days. (I don't think I ever need to eat again.) On the whole, the parents were on their best behavior, aside from some eye rolling when I ordered a martini on the last night (I try to stick with wine when they're around because they seem to be more accepting of that than hard alcohol......although, the first night my mom was encouraging me (practically begging me) to order an after dinner drink. Very uncharacteristic of her. But I turned it down, which I'm sure raised me up a notch in my dad's eyes!)

So I don't really have that much to report. The only noteable thing was that my parents witnessed me getting complimented on my hair~do several times. People were actually coming up to me to chat about my hair. And this is noteable because my parents have always thought I was crazy to cut my hair all spikey and dye it black. But now they have proof that there are actually people, other than myself, that think it looks good that way. (Parents are so hard to please!)

Anyway, stay tuned....I'll try and have some more excitement around here soon. But for now it's time to take a bath! Goodnight everybody.
